Jelaram Private Ltd. took birth in the year 2005 as a small trading company dealing in chemicals for plastic and cosmetics industry.
The company initially commenced with the trading of cosmetic raw materials under the cosmetics division, including products such as petroleum jelly and light liquid paraffin. Gradually the company branched out its business scope to the trading of plastic polymers from Exxon Mobil & Reliance Petro Chemicals. It also represents 20 Microns India Ltd since 2009 for the plastics and paint division.
In 2007, the company decided to diversify into the paint industry. It began with importing paint from Basco Paints, Kenya. Today it has its own manufacturing plant producing a wide variety of superior quality paint with the latest technology and best selection of manpower.
The company has its registered office at Gofa and its manufacturing plant at Tatek Industrial Area. The plant is well equipped with latest technology and machinery to deliver undisputable quality products. It has a good network of dealers and distributors all across the country, and is vying for the same internationally in the future.
Abay Paints the brand name under Jelaram Plc, has its own Quality Control laboratory with latest technology. By improving manufacturing technology and process, it is dedicated in improvements in quality. It also constantly conducts exploratory research to develop new product lines and market. Developing new products and processes that are socially responsible, is a commitment made by the organization. Low manufacturing costs through process improvement is a goal that it is looking forward to achieve in the future.
