Qualification, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field required; MBA strongly preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing – with hands-on experience
creating and driving strategy
Desired
- Agribusiness/horticulture experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to generate and nurture significant numbers of customers leads in a highly competitive market place

Organic Liquid producing PLC is a private Company established in Ethiopia. The Company is producing and distributing organic liquid fertilizer for commercial farms and small holder farmers to improve soil fertility and increase crop productivity.
The company is looking for a reliable Marketing and Business development manager who is generally responsible to build an enthusiastic team of sales professionals that assure satisfactory service delivery to the company’s customers. Develop strategies that turns in to sales opportunities to sustainable company’s revenue increment; develop business strategies that align with the ever changing agribusiness sector of Ethiopia. Define, direct and deploy multi-faceted sales Communications Plan that includes print ads, social media, website, banner ads, webinars, telesales, etc.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Monitor and analyze sales trends and competitor messaging Initiate various programs to incentivize and motivate agents working in the distributions of organic fertilizers
- Maintain good relations with existing small holder farmers ; commercial and individual farm based in different parts of the country
- Coordinate and participate in promotional activities, working to describe the product offering for all outbound events - facing potential investors, employees, and clients
- Profitably manage the market opportunities through mix management, budget control, and maximizing operational efficiencies
- Develops implements and updates annually a business plan to maximize the company's sale volume, as well as participates in the formulation and development of department’s strategic plan and objectives.
- Developing growth strategies and sales plans
- Increasing client base to Manage and retaining relationships with existing clients
- Develop marketing systems which help to establish win- win opportunity and benefits negotiating with stakeholders
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs giving consideration to all geographical coverage of the country
- Following industry’s market trends locally and international
- Drafting and reviewing sale contracts
- Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
Work Schedule
- The position of this duty will generally need working during business hours, but depending on the demands of the job, the manager may work some long days, late nights, and weekend
