Description
The Babogaya Lake Viewpoint Lodge offers an amazing view over the round crater lake in which you can swim or make a tour by kayak.At only 1 hour from the capital, the climat in Debre Zeit makes it possible to sit outside day and night the whole year round. With 130 different birds observed in the garden in 3 days, it is one of the hotspots for birdwatchers.
Some rooms are on stilts near the lake shore and put you completely in the nature. Yoga weekends and vacations are organised on regular base. Fresh fish from the lake with vegetables from local farmers is one of the meals. Guides are available for visiting the surrounding lakes and trips are possibles.
The lodge is run by an Ethiopian lady and a Belgium guy. They won the Award of Excellence by Tripadvisor.
