Debre Berhan Blanket Factory Plc., is a fully integrated blanket manufacturer located in the city of Debre Berhan, 130Kms North of the capital city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We have our own spinning, weaving and finishing facilities all located in-house. Debre Berhan Blanket Factory Plc. is the oldest surviving blanket factory in Ethiopia that was established in the year 1960 by the Government of Ethiopia. The factory was taken over in its entirety by the Indian Blanket conglomerate, Geetanjali Woollens Pvt. Ltd. We are at present the largest and oldest blanket manufacturer in Ethiopia. We have a capacity to manufacture in excess of one and a half million blankets per annum. We have large warehouses at our plant in Debre Berhan and also a large distribution centre in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. Our huge stock holding capacity helps us deliver blankets at a moment’s notice to clients. We have our own trucks that deliver blankets across the length and breadth of Ethiopia delivering blankets to even the remotest of villages within Ethiopia. In the year 2011 we started a new plant in Ethiopia to manufacture Acrylic Knitting Yarns. This state of the art brand new plant is geared to meet the ever changing demands of the market.
